As a matter of disclosure, the purely domestic wine blog typically does not purchase wines for review. Content for reviews is derived from a variety of sources:

• general wine trade tastings
• scheduled appointments with wineries, distributors or brokers
• sample bottles sent to me

For instances where I receive compensation for travel, lodging, meals related to reporting on wine, I will note those in the specific blog post.
